COMPOSITION: 

Contains per vaccine (specific antigens):
- Newcastle disease virus, NDV La Sota strain, inactivated induces IHA titre ≥4 log2 in chickens.
- Pigeon paramyxovirus, PMV 1-RO 96 strain, inactivated induces IHA titre ≥4 log2 in chickens.
- Salmonella typhimurium, S. typhimurium-RO 2005 strain (pigeon isolate) inactivated induces an
increase of agglutinant antibodies ≥2 log2 (detectable by RSAL).
TARGET ANIMALS: 

Pigeons (>4 week old youth and adults).
INDICATIONS: 

For the active immunization of clinically healthy pigeons against infections with:
- Salmonella typhimurium;
- Pigeon paramyxovirus (NDV and PMV).
Immunity is fully installed after 21 days after the booster vaccination and lasts for 12 months.
DOSAGE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:

Vaccine for injection by subcutaneous method. The vaccine dose consists of 0.3 ml. Shake well before use. Vaccination is performed by an injection in the middle dorsal third of the neck, pointing the needle towards the body of the pigeon (parallel to the neck).

Young pigeons shall be vaccinated starting with the age of 4 weeks and re-vaccinated 28 days later.
Adults shall be vaccinated 1-2 month prior to mating season, shows or races.
Immunity is usually maintained by re-vaccination on yearly basis. If the infection pressure is high (NDV, pox or salmonellosis are present in the loft/area) re-vaccination every 6 months is advisable.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:

Do not vaccinate pigeons with metabolic, respiratory and parasitic diseases as the immune response may be unsatisfactory.
Do not vaccinate pigeons younger than 4 weeks.
Do not vaccinate birds in poor condition.
ADVERSE REACTIONS:

Being an aqueous suspension, SALMONELLA-PMV-VAC is well tolerated, inducing no general adverse reactions. Sometimes a local reaction can be noticed, as a small nodule which resorbs within 1-2 weeks. No clinical signs noticed in case of overdose (double dose).

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

I Comply with the general regulations of conduct concerning the handling of the veterinary biological products.
II In the case of accidental injection, seek medical advice and show the physician the package leaflet or the label of the product.
III People with known sensitivity to any of the ingredients of the vaccine should avoid contact with the product.
IV Do not use other vaccines 14 days before and after inoculation of SALMONELLA-PMV-VAC.
