COMPOSITION

Tylosin tartrate 1000 mg
TARGET ANIMALS
Chickens and turkeys.
INDICATIONS
For the treatment of:
Chickens: Chronic respiratory diseases (CRD) caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae. Necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens.
Turkeys: Infectious sinusitis caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum.
DOSAGE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration through the drinking water.
Chickens: For the treatment of chronic respiratory diseases: 50 g per 100 litres of drinking water during 3-5 days, or 75-100 mg per kg bodyweight per day.
For the treatment of necrotic enteritis: 10 g per 100 litres of drinking water during 3 days, or 20-40 mg per kg bodyweight.
Turkeys: 50 g per 100 litres of drinking water during 3-5 days or 75-100 mg per kg bodyweight per day.
Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours. This product therefore needs to be changed daily. Absorption of water from other sources, during treatment should be avoided.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not administer in case of hypersensitivity or resistance to Tylosin or other macrolides.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Chickens (Meat): 5 days.
Chickens (Eggs): 5 days.
Turkeys: 5 days.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
For oral use only. Severely ill individuals tend to drink less and may need simultaneous treatment, preferably by parental medications.
Clean the drinking pots thoroughly in order to prevent re-infection and sediment. Avoid placing drinking water in the sunlight.
Tylosin may induce irritation. Avoid inhaling and contact with skin and eyes.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Keep in a dry, dark place in a well-closed container, between 2-25°C. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Avoid inhaling and contact with skin and eyes.
WASTE DISPOSAL ADVICE
Dispose of waste material in a way approved by the competent authorities.
