Toltrazuril 25 mg
TARGET ANIMALS
Chicken and turkeys.
INDICATIONS
For the treatment of:
- Coccidiosis.
Chicken: Active against different species of Eimeria: E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. Maxima, E. mitis, E. necatix and E. Tenella.
Turkeys: Active against different species of Eimeria: E. adenoides, E. galloparonix, E. meleagridis and E. meleagrimitis.
DOSAGE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration through the drinking water. Shake well before use.
Dosage: 500 ml per 500 litres of drinking water for continuous medications over 48 hours, or 1500 ml per 500 litres of drinking water given for 8 hours per day on 2 consecutive days.
If necessary, repeat after 5 days. Medicated drinking water should be used within 24 hours. This product therefore needs to be changed daily. Absorption of water from other sources during treatment should be avoided. Toltrazuril 2.5% oral is compatible with all feed additives and feed medicaments.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not administer in case of hypersensitivity or resistance to the active ingredients.
Do not administer to animals with impaired liver and/or renal function.
Do not use in breeders in production or layers producing eggs for human consumption.
ADVERSE REACTION
None known.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat: 17 days.
Eggs: Not permitted for use in laying birds producing eggs for human consumption.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Clean the drinking pots thoroughly in order to prevent re-infection and sediment. Avoid placing drinking water in the sunlight.
Dilutions more concentrated than 1:1,000 (1 ml Toltrazuril 2.5% to 1 liter drinking water) may result in sediment. Predilution is not recommended. Predilution is not recommended.
Toltrazuril may induce irritation. Avoid inhaling and contact with skin and eyes.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Keep in a dry, dark place in a well-closed container, between 2-25°C. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Avoid inhaling and contact with skin and eyes.
WASTE DISPOSAL ADVICE
Dispose of waste material in a way approved by the competent authorities.
